ORIGIN & MISSION

Making Money and Understanding Your Money
Are Two Different Things.

I built Pretty in Biz after seeing the same disconnect again and again.

A business could be bringing in money. The books could technically be “done.” The business could look successful from the outside—and the owner could still have questions about what was actually happening financially.

Accurate bookkeeping matters. But completed books alone don't automatically mean you understand your business.

Pretty in Biz exists to close that gap. I want you to have accurate financial records and understand what those numbers mean for the decisions you're making.

THE QUESTIONS BEHIND THE NUMBERS

What did I actually make?

Where is the money going?

Can I afford this?

Is this actually profitable?

What should I be paying attention to?

MY APPROACH

The Numbers Usually Tell You Where
The Problem Is.

Financial records aren't just something to maintain for taxes or year-end reporting. They tell you something about how your business is operating. My job is to make sure the financial structure is accurate—and help you understand what the numbers are actually showing you

01 / SEE IT

See What Others Miss

The numbers usually leave clues. I look beyond whether the books are simply “done” to identify what needs attention.

02 / STRUCTURE IT

Build the Right Structure

Good financial systems should make running your business easier—not give you more shit to manage. The structure should support how your business actually operates.

03 / UNDERSTAND IT

Know What Your Money Is Doing

You should be able to see what came in, where it went, what the business actually produced, and what those numbers mean for your next decision.

BEHIND PRETTY IN BIZ

Yes, I Love the Numbers.
But It's Bigger Than That.

I'm naturally analytical. I like understanding how things work, finding what doesn't make sense, and creating structure where there's confusion. That's a big part of why accounting fits me.

But for me, understanding the numbers is really about independence.

When you know what your business can afford, what's profitable, where your cash is going, and what needs attention, you can make decisions from information instead of guessing.

That's the kind of relationship I want business owners to have with their numbers.
